WELCOME AND CONGRATULATIONS.

Taking the step to further your gift in music is something to be celebrated and proud of. Our favorite artists, legendary musicians, and iconic entertainers ALL trained professionally and continue to do so to this day! There is always something new to learn in music and always a new way to learn it. The best singer is one who never stops studying and absorbing new techniques, ideas and knowledge!

Thank You.

For trusting me with your talent and skills. I vow to give 100% to the development of your gift and ensure an honest, trusting relationship as we both embark on this new journey! Please understand that all of our sessions are a free-flowing no-judgement zone, free to make mistakes and try new things!

More About Me.

My professional experience started when I was employed for two and a half years as the Private Voice Instructor and Summer Choir Director at The Artists Collective. The Artists Collective was founded in 1970 by Jackie McLean, an Alto Saxophonist, Composer, Educator and Community Activist. Jackie was also one of the few musicians to be elected to the DownBeat Hall of Fame in the year of their death. The Artists Collective has been cited by Harvard University as one of six exemplary Community Arts Centers in the nation and has received numerous awards on the State and National level for its work with youth and their families, including the 2010 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award presented by former First Lady, Michelle Obama. After working at a non-profit after school facility in Hartford Connecticut for a year, I relocated to Los Angeles where I was an instructor at Encore Music for 4 months before deciding to do free lance vocal coaching, live shows and film scoring full-time. I’ve been successfully making a living as a full time musician for a total of almost three years now!

What We Don’t Like.

  • Lipton Tea or Black Teas because it will dry your throat

  • Salty Foods

  • Smoking

  • Drinking effects your ability to hear the tones of music clearly and may effect your pitch

Think about using your diaphragm 24/7 365

Our ability to engage the abdominal muscles, the musculature of the lumbar spine and the muscles making up the pelvic floor in an efficient way, has a direct effect on what happens to the diaphragm. This is our motor when it comes to singing in a powerful, controlled way. Power does not mean volume. Just because you have a soft voice does not mean you do not have power. We all should be singing with as much power, support and control as possible.
